“I worked at Eden Park from 2001 until 2010 employed as Operations Manager, General Manager, and then Director Special Projects. During all aspects of my employment at Eden Park I was involved with Ian in some way shape or form considering his involvement in the catering and hospitality industry. During my time as General Manager I established an Advisory Board to oversee and provide advice and direction to the catering and hospitality elements of the business. Considering Ian’s general experience and capability within this field and his particular experience with Eden Park, I approached Ian to act as the Chair for the Advisory Board. During the time this Board was established, Ian provided sound guidance and advice on the development of this important aspect of Eden Park’s operation during a challenging time of change. I found Ian to be extremely personable and this aspect of the business developed well under Ian’s guidance. Overall my experience in working with Ian has been very positive and he was a real pleasure to work with.” November 8, 2012

“Ian was Joint Managing Director of Lions Hospitality for the corporate hospitality programme for the 2005 Lions tour to New Zealand which was a huge project – his key role was as the project director overseeing and driving all the many and varied components of the hospitality programme.
He worked very closely with NZRU managing this important relationship. The initial planning commenced 18 months prior to the first hospitality event.
The hospitality numbers were much higher than any other event previously held in New Zealand including over 17000 hospitality guests at the final test match in Auckland!
Ian can deservedly take a great deal of credit for the enormous success of the project and I personally really enjoyed working closely.” July 26, 2012
